By best I mean the best comfort and the best price FOR the comfort. Are Acuvue Oasis or Hydraclear contacts good? I might be getting contacts soon and I want to make sure so my eye care doctor won’t try to sell me a expensive brand that’s not worth the money.

I don’t have any complications and I’m nearsighted.

Acuvue is a good brand. Oasis is supposed to be the better kind with the Hydraclear included. My sister likes those kind. My optician let me tried CIBA Vision’s Optix O2 and I like that one. My sister thought that those made her feel uncomfortable, so she stuck with Oasis. Make sure you get one that allows more oxygen like the ones i mentioned above. There are certainly other brands. Contacts are not really cheap, and it depends how much he charges for the contacts. Those two are average prices. Ask your doctor for your prescription on the contacts that you can take with you. If he/she asks you why all you need to say is that so you have it. You can try the one he gives you and if you do not like it ask if you can try a different because it gives you an uncomfortable feeling. Once you have settled on 1 type, you do not need to buy it right away(they don’t really suggest you to do so either)…check out the prices at the office. If you think that they are out of your budget range then go look at the price at a place like Costco or any other place with optometry(sears…and etc.). They usually have the same ones that you were prescribed. With that prescription that you asked your eye doc. you can get it at any other place you wish to do so.
Avoid buying them online because they are usually more expensive than the doctor’s office.

*Note: if you do not get it at the eye doc. office, then the quality of the contact might have a slight difference.

Good luck! Hope this helps!

* The probability that a consumer uses a plastic card when making a purchase is .37.
* Given that the consumer uses a plastic card, there is a .19 probability that the consumer is 18 to 24 years old.
* Given that the consumer uses a plastic card, there is a .81 probability that the consumer is more than 24 years old.

U.S. Census Bureau data show that 14% of the consumer population is 18 to 24 years old.

Dear adrjaboor,

The problem as stated doesn’t give enough information to find an exact answer.
From the problem statement,
P(uses plastic) = 0.37,
P(18 ≤ age ≤24 | uses plastic) = 0.19,
P(age > 24 | uses plastic) = 0.81, and
P(18 ≤ age ≤ 24) = 0.14,
where the vertical bar "|" stands for "given."

From the definition of conditional probability,
P(uses plastic | age > 24) = P(uses plastic & age > 24) / P(age > 24)
= P(uses plastic) P(age > 24 | uses plastic) / P(age > 24)
= (0.37) (0.81) / P(age > 24)
= 0.2997 / P(age > 24).

However, P(age > 24) isn’t known, and can only be determined within a wide range. The reason is that it’s also possible for consumers to be under 18, and the problem says nothing directly about this category. Since P(uses plastic & age > 24) = 0.2997, then this number serves as the greatest lower bound of P(age > 24), so
P(age > 24) ≥ 0.2997 (call this L). Since P(18 ≤ age ≤ 24) = 0.14, then the least upper bound of P(age > 24) would be if P(age < 18) = 0, so P(age > 24) ≤ 0.86 (call this U).

Therefore, since 0.2997 ≤ P(age > 24) ≤ 0.86,

0.2997 / U ≤ P(uses plastic | age > 24) ≤ 0.2997 / L
0.2997 / 0.86 ≤ P(uses plastic | age > 24) ≤ 0.2997 / 0.2997
0.348488 ≤ P(uses plastic | age > 24) ≤ 1.

In other words, without additional information, the best you can say is that the probability is at least 0.348 that a consumer uses a plastic card, given the consumer is over 24 years old.

Any of you that weigh yourself all the time, know which scale is the best to use at home? I have one of the old fashioned kind that is not digital. It always shows a different weight and i dont think its always accurate. I know a digital would probably be best. But which ones are the best?

digital scales are good but if you really want an accurate reading, i suggest you go into your local store [eg. boots, superdrug] and weigh yourself on one of their machines. That way, you can go in weekly/fortnightly etc if you want to monitor your weight and you can usually get a print-out of your weight too :]

Can you please help me out on this question…. How does prohibition compare to the current battle over the legalization of marijuana in the 1920s?

Battle is a bit strong of a word to is as there is no physical war. You may want to use ‘political struggle’ instead.

I was looking into the "Gel G Seat Comfort Cusion GSeat Orthopedic" cushion. It is expensive, so I assume it should provide the best relief. Do you have any opinions on this cushion? I have a donut cushion but is very uncomfortable in design, and embarrasing. What is the best type design for hemorrhoid sufferers?

Why do you not just get the hemorrhoid’s removed and be done with it? Best of Luck

Ive wanted to learn how to play the guitar for a really long time now and was wondering what are the best ways to learn how to play without getting lessons (its hard for me to get around) and wanted to know what are the best guitars to learn on? Like brand and what type?

And yes I know this is the wrong section.

Okay. you can get a teacher or you can self teach. a teacher would be easier but self teaching would be cheaper. If you want to self teach i would just buy a bunch of guitar books or i would go online for websites with chords and grafts and stuff. unless you already know how to read music i wouldn’t bother. unless you wanna be like a really serious guitar player your not going to need it. if i were you i would read tabs. Tabs are like music its like a big picture of the guitar and it shows you were to put your fingers. i can give you some good websites for that also. if you wanted to get a guitar i would either get an epiphone acoustic or a fender strat pack that comes with a fender strat a gig bag a tuner a small amp and some pics its also not very pricey and the guitars amazing. OK here are some websites for tabs=) below in the sources .

I am going to 2009 derby and want to know a little about the best way to maximize my experience. Where is the best place (bargain wise) to watch the race live. Where to stay when coming in town from Nashville? How early to get there race day? Is the infield the best place to be for a racing and wagering fan?

I am posting a link that will give you some information on tickets, where to stay, etc. I am in Franklin, so I am familiar with the route you will take. Every year about 150,000 people attend the Derby and most of the good tickets are far gone by now. You can call Churchill downs office and talk with them about tickets if you like.
If you go to the infield you will not be able to see the race. There are many obstructions preventing the view of the track there. I would advise you to get there early, even though the race is late in the day. There is much to see and a lot of excitement. Since I don’t know how old you are I will tell you that the infield is mostly college age people and they are there for a party. Lots of drinking, etc. Have a great time at the Derby

I have to do this PowerPoint for my biology class, and we have to compare and contrast viruses and bacteria.
But specifically these things:
Abiotic/Biotic
Structure of each
Reproduction of each
Diseases caused by each

So if you know these, it would be great.

Any other key information.

There are a number of differences between a virus and bacteria, or more appropriately, viruses and bacteria, including their relative sizes, reproduction methods and resistance to medical intervention. Bacterium, the singular form of the word bacteria, is a one-celled living organism, with complete sets of both ribonucleic acid (RNA) and deoxyribonucleic acid (DNA) genetic codes. A virus is little more than a section of RNA or DNA covered by a protein shell. Bacterium, therefore, is at least a hundred times larger than a typical virus.

I think it is best that twins share a crib until about 4-5 months of age and then should sleep in separate cribs but still in the same room. Also, I know around 2 is when they begin sleeping in a bed. What is the best age for them to begin having their own rooms? Btw, both bedrooms are very small–not large enough for 2 beds. So, they must separate between the ages of 4 months and 2 years–when is best?

My doctor said that we should do it know or before 6 months of age. Transitional periods are way easier now, rather than later when they develop personalities and can oppose the change. My boys love sleeping together so I am having trouble with separating them now. My plan is to wait a few months and have them share a crib (they are in a play pen now). Other piece of advise, they can stay together until they are psychically impeding each others sleep.

And for those who own a GM/Chrysler vehicle, have you heard of Consumer Reports and all the bad stuff it has on them.

will not buy a car until I look it up on Consumer Reports
