this depends on what your useing it for
for video cards ATI is more bang for the buck right now (not that nvidia makes bad cards, they are just to expensive)
Intels cpu’s are faster then amd’s cpu’s right now and are there for better (if you have the money for it)
for ram i always use corsair , a really good brand
motherboards are many, ASUS, MSI and Gigabyte is the best (thu i only use gigabyte, its so easy to use thats why 
)

I am a gamer and video cards make alot of difference for me. NVIDIA seems to be the better of the two. The reason I say that is the visual difference on COD MW2

If you can afford it go with INTEL, although Ive never had any problems with AMD (I also work on computers)

Depending on which chipset you will need I suggest Asus or Gigabyte
