I haven’t dyed my hair in about 7 months,
last time I dyed it I dyed it all black,
now it has faded to brown.
I just want some blonde chunks in a few places,
and I’m gonna dye some, but not all, of them blue.
I don’t have enough money to go to a salon so please don’t tell me to.
I just need to know what home coloring kit will be best and some tips on getting the best shade and preventing too much hair damage. Thanks! best answer?
box bleach kits aren’t as good as the individual bleach packets and peroxide. but the best one that i’ve used is clairol born blonde. there’s 3 levels of it. one comes with 20 volume peroxide, one with 30 and the other with 40. since you do have color on your hair and it’s dark, you should get the strongest one. it doesn’t matter that you dyed it a long time ago, the dye is still there and colored hair takes longer to lighten than natural hair. the box with 40 volume should do the trick. good luck!

If you don’t know what you’re doing then I say to leave it alone.
Home color kits are undependable and since you’re needing to lift up that black. Also picking out chunks isnt easy either or strands or streaks etc. The bleach can bleed and you could end up with a huge mess. So if you can’t do it right just leave it.
BTW have you priced a beauty school??? They could do it better than you trying to yourself. They have more knowledge than you, all the products needed and are supervised. Just them knowing the even placement of the chunks is better.
