There is something on my consumer report that has a negative impact on me getting a job. Is there any way to get it taken off?
If the item is legitimate, you will have to wait for it to age off. Derogatory items age off 7-1/2 years from date of first deficiency.
If it’s an error, dispute the item with the credit bureau.

I have to write a two page consumer repot on brownies. I dont really know what to do or where to start. It’s due in two days so I really need to know !
You could buy a few different brands of brownie mix, bake them up, and compare the quality to the price. Try comparing the generic store brand to the big national brands: is it worth spending the extra money on the name brand, or is the store brand just as good? Bring the teacher a sample of each type… and give the rest of the brownies to the whole class to share.
Is there any validity to my perception, that Toyota Motor Company has surreptitiously subsidized Consumer Reports Magazine?
Consumers Reports is not subsidized by any auto manufacturer, but they have for years had a bias against American made vehicles. They claim to be independent, but their corporate culture has a definite tilt towards certain car makers.
If you were to go to the local Ford owners club and ask them to rate Ford, Chevy, Honda and Toyota, you would expect that they would rate Ford highest. This is what happens when Consumers Reports hires only people who think the same way, and bring their own biases to the ratings

There are several way’s to check out any company. Better Business Bureau, D&B Credit Report. You can also see if the business is "in business" and in "good standing" with the incorperating state by going to www.piperinfo.com by state and you usually enter business name and or the owners name.

Of course they can, the term charge off is simply a term for bookkeeping purposes it doe’s not relieve you of your debt.
They can continue to try and collect or they can sell the account to a collection company and then they will come after you.
Depending on the amount you owe they can take you to court, get a judgment and at that point they can attach your bank accounts, garnish your wages (if your State allows it) and file liens on any real property you may own like cars, boats, land and homes.
does requesting an investigative or consumer report from a credit bureau/agency affect a person’s credit score? and if so, will this request for such report be recorded on one’s credit report?
(Not a US resident so I’m not really sure how all of this works. Trying to understand a few things here and there! All help is mostly appreciated!)

A simple credit background will be pulled from their choice of the Big 3 agencies, likely Equifax.
Disclosure law may require them to supply you with a copy of the report, depending on your state of residence.
Many companies use a search-service that provides any public-record info available, such as court-criminal history, traffic offenses, and the Sex Offender registry of your state.

Seems like people would think that other people know something they don’t, so the trend of consumer confidence would make continuing that trend more likely. (Consumer confidence is going up, so I’m more confident about the economy)

You are correct. There is a circular effect. That is why they have disallowed "exit polls" to be conducted at Polling Places in New York when people in California haven’t voted yet. Why vote when they have already predicted the winner.If the newspaper said that times were good, would you say they were good just because the newspaper said it…. i don’t think you would. We Americans are too independent.
