I have two iTunes library that are both used daily, one at work (windows) and the other at home (mac). I rate a good portion of my music and pay attention to play counts. Is there any way I can add the counts/ratings from my work iTunes to my home iTunes?

I have a list of stocks tracked in my portfolio in MSN Money. I noticed there is this feature called stockscouter ratings which you can see when you click on the page and enter the stock ticker symbol individually. But this is inefficient as I would have to enter each of my stock and see the rating one at a time. After navigating the MSN Money site, I still cannot find a way to see my portfolio of stocks WITH the stockscouter ratings beside each of the stock. Then this way, I can view the ratings for all my stocks at a glance.

Hope someone knows how to achieve this and can help.

I just watched a video on youtube which had more ratings than views. How is that possible?

How come when i watch a youtube video I notice the youtube video has more ratings then actual views? I mean didnt all of those people who rated have to watch the video before rating?

The reason there are more rating than views is because the number of the views does not update as fast as the ratings does.

I have tried dragging the songs out of itunes, file transferring it, then dragging it into itunes, using shared libraries, and exporting libraries and none have kept the ratings and album artwork intact

You must copy the entire iTunes library to the other mac:

Find where your first mac has your iTunes library, look in:
iTunes preferences - advanced - iTunes Media folder location
(example: /Users/"your user name here"/Music/iTunes/iTunes Music)

Now close iTunes!

You need to copy that location but also include the containing folder.
(example: copy this folder: /Users/"your user name here"/Music/iTunes ) to the new mac. Put that folder (called "iTunes") in the same location (put "iTunes" folder in "Music" folder) in the new mac.

Start iTunes on new mac. If you did it right an identical library in iTunes will magically appear. You may need to authorize the new mac to access any purchased music from iTunes Store with your iTunes account. See menu: Store - Authorize Computer… (you can auth up to 5 computers for the same iTunes account)

The library’s database of information like ratings are in the "iTunes" folder and the music is in the "iTunes/iTunes Music" folder. See link below for more info from Apple on the library files.

Keep the old mac’s iTunes folder until you are sure it transferred ok. Your two macs’ libraries will not stay synced so if you make changes to new mac library, the old one will not have those changes. If you don’t need it, it is then ok to delete the old mac library if you want.

Especially Nielsen Ratings? Are they credible or accurate? What is your opinion if a television were to bribe viewers into watching their channels? Or if they would manipulate the rating reports to make their station look better?

Ratings are almost a be-all, end-all to management - ratings determine ad rates, and to one extent are a yardstick for a show’s success.

The Nielsens are a scientific system (so certainly accurate and credible), and while you could theoretically mess with them by bribing the people being surveyed, you’d have to get the list of who’s in the survey sample in the first place. Since Nielsen Media forbids those being surveyed from letting people know they’re being surveyed - due at least in part to the fear the sample would be corrupted - that’s unlikely.

Manipulation of the actual statistics by producers and management is pretty much impossible, since they have no role in gathering or processing ratings info. While they could choose to present just narrow slices of the ratings info to their advertisers, the whole ratings picture is out there.

Does anyone know what ratings (jobs) in the Navy transfer over to good, high paying careers in the civilian sector, once you get out of service? I would guess technical fields in computers, but im not sure.

Thats a magic number for only the Internals at CN. They started to see the ratings drop. They tried a few tune-up type things to kick start it again, it didn’t work out. The point is not to Fall in ratings. Ratings Drop, Advertisers stop Advertising, the Channel goes under. Staying even for too long isn’t good either, indicates the "Shows" are starting to get "cold". The Channel Executives are always on the lookup for their next boost in ratings.
