How can I compare a truth about life to baseball?

I have one which is, there’s disappointment in life. I can compare disappointment to baseball by saying; when you are winning the game then the other team comes back and wins. Disappointment. I need to compare parts of the game to truth, like maybe the count (3 balls 2 strikes) or use the scoreboard somehow.

Our lives will eventually end, no matter what happens. As in a baseball game, one may be fortunate enough to sneak in a few extra innings, but eventually, the game will end.
