How can I compare a truth about life to baseball?

I have one which is, there’s disappointment in life. I can compare disappointment to baseball by saying; when you are winning the game then the other team comes back and wins. Disappointment. I need to compare parts of the game to truth, like maybe the count (3 balls 2 strikes) or use the scoreboard somehow.

1. It’s not who wins or loses – it’s how you play the game.

2. When you think you’re having a bad day, think about the Cubs announcer, the late Jack Brickhouse’s, quote about the Cubs not winning the World Series since 1908: "The Cubs are just having a bad century".

3. Like hits and runs, errors are part of the game.

  1. Machinehead 625 NYY WORLD CHAMPS says:

    ~Nice guys finish last.

Take for example the ALDS. You’ve got the loveable Twins. And a conglomerate with a $250 million payroll that everyone hates. The conglomerate wins in a sweep. YAY CONGLOMERATE!!!

~It’s better to have loved and lost than to never have loved at all.

The Phillies were world champions but a year later got knocked off the throne. Sure that sucks but they could but they could be the Cubs.
