I am already doing a litmus paper test, I need another way to compare the acidity in different sodas that would be more accurate & give me some numerical data for my project.
There are other indicators. "Universal indicator" is one, see reference.
A better test is to add a standard basic solution until either litmus paper or "Universal indicator" indicates it is neutral. then the amount of base added is a more accurate indication of the acidity.
There are also pH meters that will directly read out the acidity or base of a solution. You can buy one for $20 to $100, or perhaps you can borrow one from a college or high-school.
