I dunno about that. The mustang is very unique. It has a small engine, and it’s the smallest of the 3 pony cars. That’s why it’s quick. They can’t drop a giant engine in it like they can with the Camaro or Challenger. So what’s the solution? Supercharge it. That’s what the Shelby is. The more beast that car becomes, the more beast the Camaro will become because of the way the technology advances.

the mustang has no excuse for being the way it is. the mustang has been around for years and in over 10 years the GT has only moved from 260hp to 315hp and the 98 mustang gt posted a 5.4 0-60 run tested by motor trend. ford has the technology and know how and the money to make this car a beast they just choose to save all of that for their expensive shelby’s which is stupid how about something for your average income man?

if they do indeed release the 450hp version into the challenger than yes it will beat the camaro in a 0-60 run and a 1/4 mile run but still won’t handle nor brake like the camaro due to its weight and will also still be a of alot more expensive. the purpose of this comparison was to show that of the three the camaro is the most car for the money end of story and people should respect what GM does regardless of who their favorite dealer is

Yeah. They are all good cars. But Dodge is comming out with a new 6.4L Hemi which makes 450 HP. So maybe the SRT8 is comparable with the SS.

motor trend posted a 4.6 in 0-60 for the camaro and the only video ive seen from motor trend with the srt8 the srt8 ran a 4.7 from 0-60 and motor trend also got the camaro to a 13.0 in the 1/4 mile. so you figure the camaro is still faster,definately handles better due to the weight of the challenger, just as comfortable with the IRS,and cost alot less the camaro wins hands down sorry dodge fans its a great car just not up to par with GM

i cant see how they think the camaro’s dash is so much better then the stang’s..the camaros looks cheapish …but it will be interesting to see what happens in the future with all of these cars ,,,ahh ..the good ol’e days are back ..now if we could only rid our streets of these cheap ricers out there and take back whats our’s

copy and paste that in your video search bar. this is a comparison done by edmunds of the srt8 which posted a 13.8 in the 1/4 mile and a 5.5 a 0-60 run which is still a of alot slower than the camaro but over $10,000 more the car is just too heavy end of story. so why would the srt8 ,make for a better comparison??

True the SRT8 would definately be a better comparison for the two, but it also costs a fair amount more. I think they were trying to achieve price parity between these three models, which means they had to use the R/T instead. It is disappointing though, I agree.
