I have fair skin and I found the rimmel to be the best primer (drugstore) by far. It fills in fine lines and minimizes pores for me without causing break outs. I really have not noticed any offensive scent to it. The monistat felt weird after applied and broke me out around my chin and upper lip area the first time I used it.
