    Yes, absolutely. I …
Yes, absolutely. I know LOTS of virgins who use them. In fact, I have a 12-year-old cousin who uses it. just as long as you don’t live in a family/culture that values keeping your hymen until your married, because cups (and tampons) will break the hymen. But if you don’t live in such a culture, there is no reason to have a hymen. Some women are born without one. For virgins, I usually recomend a small ladycup, small lunette (if you can get one) or small Green Donna (identical to lunette).

Would you recommend these for a 15 year old girl who has only had her period for about a year? I’m obviously a virgin, so I am not sure if I am too “tight” or not. I had a little trouble getting in a tampon for the first time. I’ve only heard of older women using a menstrual cup, although it says 11 and 12 year olds can use them on the website.

Hey… I was wondering, and you probably can’t comment on the board but could you message me about my question… Which brand do you prefer to use? I like the Lady Cup but I want to know what the general consensus is… What si everyone’s preference?

    Thanks! I think …
Thanks! I think I’ll try to get one to see how I like it. I was going to ask my doctor about it, but I’m worried she might be like a lot of doctors/ ob gyns that have been saying that it’s a “germ container, etc”.
Thanks again. I guess I might have to flip it out, but we’ll see.
    :)

PS– personally, I do have to flip the DivaCup inside out to make it shorter/smoother.

    I’m not sure if …
I’m not sure if Canada has LadyCup in stores. For many women, the Diva cup is ok length wise, but there are a few women who are a bit “shorter” who have to switch brands later. Also, if you find the Diva a bit long, you can flip it inside out. That will make the texture smoother, and the cup shorter. If you really don’t want to order online, I would say try the Divacup.

    I was wondering if …
I was wondering if you personally thought that the Diva Cup was too long. I would rather get one of the coloured lady cup, because it is shorter in size and because it’s coloured.
I would rather not buy one online. The Diva cup is at my local health foods store, because it’s manufactured in Canada. (That’s where I live) I also don’t know if I want to pay a large amount of money for shipping….
    Your thoughts?

    I have had a size 1 …
I have had a size 1 Diva for at least half a year, but I cannot get it to work completely; it always rides up very deep, so it can’t catch all the blood like it’s supposed to. I can rotate it inside of me, and I can tell that it’s popped open, but it still teleports way up there! I was considering getting a different brand. Is there one you recommend for those of us who can’t seem to keep the thing low enough to do its job?

    Thanks in advance! :)

The holes are to help draw in air to break the suction. That helps to make removal easier. Good luck with your new cup!

Great vid. I wish that everyone who own (s/ed) a menstrual cup made a video, whether it’s just them saying “I own a mentrual cup”, or going into detail with their experiences.

Maybe that could be something your YouTube group could do. Post a short video saying that they own a cup (w/ # of periods), or are interested in them, or they have questions. I’m totally wanting to do that. I might post one tomorrow!
