The manga is much more condensed in terms of plot, so it moves a lot quicker, and it also provides more detail. The much longer running anime though, held more time for other characters to develop - several of the villains who were killed off in one panel were given wonderful storylines. Professor Tomoe's release from evil is much better done in the anime To totally cut out …
