I think this might just be the result of a slight change in connotation during translation. Manga Mamoru is loving, but not as lovey-dovey as the Mamoru in the dream.

Sorry for my English i´m from Venezuela… I can tell you the series its diffrent from the Manga for keep the interest… i dont think then you buy a manga if you wanna see the same thing in tv right?? thats why the series is not the same
