Th charged “plates” will do that with some static dust.. annoying as it is… and those plates won’t actually hold dust or pollen, it’s only good for pollution.

Almost all appliances create ozone , which is oxygen with an extra molecule. Too much ozone can irritate lungs, and some machines use Ozone because its good at odors. Negative ions are an electrical charge (not the oxygen molecule itself). This unit, like the smaller Rabbit machine, does not create ozone with its negative ions. Thanks
