    Quarter mill > A …
    Quarter mill > A mill. Moreover, the EV1’s cost about 80 G’s, not a 250.

    I knew a guy, a …
I knew a guy, a Saturn tech in upstate New York, who drove an EV2 as late as 2004. They weren’t viable either, costing a quarter-mil apiece to make.

    Even though the …
Even though the Bush Administration was the one that started the whole “HYDROGEN IS THE FUTURE!” campaign, right? Electric vehicles were here during the Clinton run, but they all died out after 2000… Wonder who started then?

    Of course, that …
Of course, that won’t keep the Obama administration from investing billions of tax dollars in hydrogen technology.

    Hydrogen isn’t …
Hydrogen isn’t viable. The average fuel cell runs a million dollars. Current materials can’t store the amount of hydrogen we need for the range we want in a car. Hydrogen is wildly expensive. There are not enough filling stations, you’ll need like 25,000 stations before people consider it. Internal Combustion Engines and Hybrids get better at the same time. Hydrogen is a red herring, learn the facts!

    since when has …
since when has Consumer Report been a trustworthy source of vehicle tests???????

… i have always equated them to the elderly, which i do not believe is capable of unbiasedly flogging any vehicle.
Consumer Report needs to look into picking up some knowledgeable and unbiased drivers who have the experience to make such claims.

Question: Why has everything related to alternative fuel gone electric as opposed to hydrogen? I hear that overseas hydrogen is replacing gasoline, but why no advances here in America?
