This time on the ebaY Germay site, www. ebay.de, in the security forum
This the 4th such list episode in very recent history.
This time both ebay and paypal accounts are involved.
Advise anyone and everyone to take note of these events.
The compromised accounts are from several countries, including many from the USA.
Screenshots have been posted confirming that these are active, valid accounts and passwords. It is posted that they are on the internet right now, and ANYONE can get them.
It seems that ebay is not interested…
This is an ongoing situation, just go there and see for yourselves.

This screengrab may be grainy and illegible, but believe me when I tell you those are all account info being posted, and ebay is ignoring every bit of it. The thread started on March 22, 2007.
Your name and account info may be on the list… or your friends, neighbors, co-workers or families’ may be.
ID theft takes years to straighten out…
Do not wait for ebay to notify you that your info is compromised, they are batting ZERO for FOUR…
And speaking of batting, we hear that BatBoy was spotted in SanJose` recently, near ebaY and PayPal both, so that will likely be the next video, unless they have some MORE MASSIVE HACK ATTACKS and LEAKS beforehand…

Consumers should CLOSE their ebay accounts immediately to ensure their own safety, as ebay is NOT acting to make you or your info safe.
Ebay can NO LONGER be trusted. They are now breaking laws, IMO.

o i6hAte6eBay6. I believe you are correct. Vladuz had the entire database before he posted that onto the trust & safety forum on 9-25-2007. IMO, eb & PP are hacked 9 ways from sunday. Hackers are bleeding them out like leeches on the rectum & everything points to that fact. All the forced PP only policies, account freezings, stock share dumping… etc etc ad nauseum. In turn, eb-PP are trying to recoup losses via all these new policies & deceiving users/shareholders.

Paypal users are the biggest target of phishers, but the HAXORS have accessed the entire PayPal database & they did it via ‘HACKING’! Understand? There’ve been numerous holes in PP security, including 2 major ones discovered in the last year. This video shows one sign of that, there being ‘lists’
I’ve found websites selling hacked stolen verified PP accnts since at least August 2007. Visit my blog and falle-internet(.)de to learn more.

eBay/Paypal “hackers” just send out tens of thousands (or more) of emails that trick people into signing into a fake site and giving away a PW. Even if 1% respond, that’s still a lot. Once they get in they try to rip other people off. eBay can usually detect when someone is using your account for fraud. Usually. There are definitely legitimate concerns but finding a list of PWs on a forum means nothing, just that some spoofed accounts are probably useless to the spoofers, now given away for fun

BTW, more and more such lists have/are being found all the time. When they are, ebay/paypal ignores, just as they did with that xss flaw recently in the news from falle-internet(.)de & auctionbytes.
Be aware ebay users. The hackers are using Paypal to collect.

Safest online payment method is always a credit card & from a *reputable* web site.
Using Paypal will be a barrier between you & your consumer rights should anything go wrong.
Watch the Paypal reverse scam vid or visit ebay’s paypal forum & see just how many are getting robbed every day.
Plus, Paypal is FULL of glitches. Nothing but 1 SCREW-UP after another.
