Anyone tell me about the recent Consumer Report on 3D LED TVs?

I don’t have a subscription to it but I heard they have done a review recently on 3D LED TVs. Thinking about buying one.

There was actually a post about this somewhere and I saved the link on my computer. Here you go. http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/651/61854299.jpg/ http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/12/consumer2.png/

How does the "rational" consumer behave? What should the rational consumer take into consideration when purcha?

How does the "rational" consumer behave? What should the rational consumer take into consideration when purchasing a good now or in the future, and what should the consumer ignore?

A rational consumer is one that knows what he wants and seeks to make the most of the available opportunities given the scarcity constraints he faces.

How does the american ratings system work?

I get a bit confused. I have this ap on my phone that gives me reviews on the latest movies as well a the rating, however it says a lot of movies are rated R, and in Australia R is 18+. Can you please explain the American ratings system for me? :)

Rated R movies are considered adult content (you have to be seventeen to see one in theaters without a parent), and usually this is due to profanity, and sometimes nudity or violence.
PG-13 is considered appropriate for everyone over thirteen, usually some swearing, mild sexual content, or violence. Smoking and drinking in the film can also get it a PG-13 rating.
PG is considered appropriate for everyone above about ten years old, usually pretty tame, maybe one swear word.
G is aimed at the youngest audience, appropriate for everyone.

Will I ever actually get paid from leaving reviews on Epinions.com?

I’ve only left three reviews, but I do plan to leave more. Is it likely that I’ll ever be paid?

I’ve collected about $110 from them over the years.

Their policy has varied over the years, but generally you have to have accumulated a certain dollar amount before they’ll actually cut you a check.

What movie rating do you think 2 girls 1 cup should be rated?

Or video game rating. Here are the options:

G, PG, PG-13, R, NC-17, X, M for Mature, E for Everyone, E10+ for Everyone 10+, T for Teens. If there are any others go ahead and use them. If you must, look up the definition. I’m just curious as to what your responses will be. Or you can make up your own rating, but you must include the definition if you do so. Good luck to you all to get the BA!

REALISTICALLY it wouldn’t even be looked at for distribution to the market, as for the rating services they wouldn’t accept it either but…………..

IF you did manage to get somebody that was willing to view it and rate it that was a qualified rater they would say it would be a M and it would have to declare on the website/packaging that its very extreme pornographic material

How much does a tragus piercing hurt in comparison to lobes?

Im 12 and I have double piercing my lobes, and they didnt hurt im also getting a 3rd in a few weeks, in comparison to them, how much would the Tragus piercing hurt someone with a VERY LOW pain tolerance?

It will hurt more than lobes, there is a lot more cartilage and nerves there. However, it will be over pretty quickly and in my experience the heat that comes after if more uncomfortable than the actual needle going through your ear. It shouldn’t be unbearable though.
It will take quite a bit longer to heal than lobes too, I’m guessing six months to a year. And be very careful not to sleep on it for a while or to catch it when you brush your hair, because that hurts A LOT.
Personally, I think the pain of hitting a new piercing on something is a lot worse than actually getting the piercing done, so be careful.

What was rated the best antivirus software by Consumer Reports in 2011?

I need to get a FREE version of an antivirus software for my computer, and I was wondering if anyone knew what Consumer Reports said was the best one, or if anyone has any suggestions…

The Best Free Security protection is:

Comodo Pro (firewall) and AVG Anti-Virus Free Edition

More user friendly option:

ZoneAlarm (firewall) simpler to use and requires less setting up then Comodo Pro

All available from download.com

I recently removed my McAfee firewall and installed Comodo Pro, its the best firewall I’ve ever used and comes top in leaktests (see below) if after installing Comodo you get too many warnings turn the defence + setting to clean computer or off, its has nothing to do with the firewall part of Comodo it simply monitors system changes.

Would also recommend that you use a safer browser like Mozilla Firefox.

Download additional anti-spyware software my favourite is Malwarebytes..

You can run any realtime anti-spyware program with an anti-virus program and it will not conflict. Malwarebytes’ Anti-Malware works well with AVG, provided that you get the free version, which doesn’t have real-time protection. There’s a chance of bad interactions with AVG if MBAM’s real-time protection is turned on. Install the free version, then update it and run scans occasionally.

Install the McAfee SiteAdvisor add-on – when searching for something using yahoo, google or msn, it displays either a green tick (safe site), yellow exclamation mark (use with care) or a red cross (dangerous site) next to every result.

Always keep your Windows, web browser and Java software up to date – frequent patches are released to plug security holes.

(Don’t use AntiVir, some people recommended Avira AntiVir to me so I removed AVG Anti-Virus Free Edition and installed AntiVir but I could not get it to update, the forums are full of people having the same problem)

Hope That Helps!

How is power rating effected by wiring multiple speakers in parallel?

I’m planning on building some speaker cabinets with two 10" drivers. If each driver is 8 ohms and rated at 350w RMS, I know that the impedance will drop to 4ohms if wired in parallel. My question is what does the power rating become for this cabinet?

That’s a good link that gilloz provided. However it didn’t answer the question. It’s quite simple actually. Parallel wiring will effectively double the power handling capacity. With series wiring it stays the same. But there is something rather important that I hope you are aware of: Passive crossover networks are impedance sensitive. If you wire two woofers with a summed impedance of 4 Ohms to a crossover intended for 8 Ohm woofers, it will change the crossover point. If the cabinet is for a use without a crossover, such as a guitar cabinet, you can forget that last part.

I’ve written several reviews on epinions.com, yet I haven’t earned any money. Why?

Money is only credited to your account on the 15th of the month following the month of writing the review, and it has to be a minimum of $10 to redeem the money. The words below come from their website.

1. How do I redeem my Earnings for cash?
To redeem your Earnings, click the Redeem button on your Account Summary page. U.S. residents can redeem when they have a balance of at least $10, and non-U.S. residents can redeem when they have a balance of at least $100.
