Make sure your elbow is directly under your shoulder and that you&#039;re not leaning into it--think of pulling that shoulder away from your ear and lengthening the upper arm. Try to evenly distribute your weight in your elbow and your foot. However, planks also work the shoulders, which are engaged to help stabilize the body in this position, so it&#039;s normal to feel those muscles working.</description>
